I couldn’t be more excited to share the baby shower I hosted in September. With so much local talent it really wasn’t hard to put this together! Emily my younger sister had her first born Asher Chad Kloot and celebrating her and Asher was a privilege. You see, my sister has been there for me with my two children and being able to reciprocate and spoil her has been the best feeling.
This might not be your typical baby boy shower. White and Gold details don’t scream BOY, but the antlers and animals give it more of a boyish vibe. Asher is so young that he won’t remember right?! So why not make it more about the Mom and give her a theme she would enjoy. Asher’s entire outfit is from Vonbon Apparel and two months later is still one of her favourites. Organic Harem Leggings and Knotted Hat in the antler print was the perfect outfit for the shower. Can’t forget the tiny adorable cream moccasins by Minimoc.
Lets start in the living room where over 20 clear balloons filled with gold and silver confetti floated in the air from Tom Kat Studio. Emily recently did a newborn photo shoot with Kristen Burr Photography and I was able to surprise Emily by having all the images at the shower which she hadn’t seen yet. We attached them to the balloons making it special for everyone to see. Gorgeous gold and white antique furniture was rented from Spruce Rentals. We needed extra seating and foldout chairs are never pretty to look at so Spruce Rentals was the perfect fit! They should be happy I returned them all because the furniture was so perfect in my space I wanted to keep it!
This corner in the living room was filled with amazing Bebe De Luxe Coconut Milk & Oat Bath product. All of the guests got to take some home as well as Emily received this gorgeous filled glass jar. Kari from Confetti Floral Design created all the florals for the event and she sure did not disappoint!! Not only did these garlands look beautiful it filled the space with an amazing smell! House of Mark hand made this yarn banner and I have been able to use it as decor in my home and decorations for parties.
One of my favourite spots at the baby shower was the guest book signing. A large chalk board from Spruce Rentals with amazing florals and the cutest little Minimoc Chambray Shoes. Baby Books are so important to remember special milestones and when they are as detailed and gorgeous as Mushy Books then you will want to have it on display. The “Into the Wild” theme Mushy Book was perfect as it went with our theme perfectly. For our guests we had extra pages that we placed on this table to sign. Later on it will be special for Emily and Asher to look back at who celebrated with them this day and read the encouraging words written by friends and family.
Now lets talk about this table shall we?! Grey & White table runners from Tom Kat Studio make this table along with the clear large balloons filled with gold and silver confetti attached to garlands. Custom ASHER wooden letters from Home Work Etc which are now up in his bedroom. Can you spot the adorable Baby Jives cloud mobile above the cake?
Since I spent so much time decorating, I went simple with the deserts. I called in my favourite cake designer Crystal from Reddy Made Cakes and she nailed the design as usual. The momma and baby deer was bought at the local craft store and spray painted gold to match.
Simple yet always a hit these deserts were amazing and included Caramel Marshmallows with gold accents by Marsh & Mallow, oreo’s, donuts, chocolate pretzels, yogurt raisins, coke bottle candies, meringues and cake pops by Reddy Made Cakes. All within the color scheme so the table had a cohesive look.
For beverages we served white wine spritzers, red wine sangria and water.
There was no shortage of gifts for baby Asher and all of our guests LOVED all the companies who were involved! Check them out below.
